Steve Martin Appointed Emeritus Director
Steve Martin Receives Special Appointment By Foundation Board Rozella Miller and DG Edgerton also recognized Stephen D. Martin, Esq. was recently appointed an Emeritus Director of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Delaware County. “We were looking for a special way to recognize Steve for his incredible dedication and involvement with the Foundation,” says DG Edgerton, the Foundation’s Board Chair. “Steve has contributed to the success of the Foundation in so many ways; we thought this would be a fitting tribute to one of our founding members.” Mr. Martin served as a member of the Board for 11 years and held the offices of as assistant secretary and secretary. Partner in the law firm of Manos, Martin, Pergram and Dietz in Delaware, Mr. Martin also was the Foundation’s legal counsel. “It is extremely flattering and gratifying to be so honored by the Community Foundation,” said Martin. “The Foundation has done so much for the community in the first 11 years of its existence. I believe the Foundation can and will do much more for the community as the endowments grow and more people and businesses participate as donors.” Also recognized for her contributions to the Foundation was out-going board member Rozella Miller. Mrs. Miller served on the board for eight years. Miller, of RM Consulting, Delaware chaired the grants committee and the governance committee. Additionally, Mr. Edgerton of Edgerton Financial Company in Galena, was recognized for his service as Board Chair. Edgerton will remain on the board as Past Chair. The Community Foundation of Delaware County encourages and enables donors to achieve philanthropic goals that leave a lasting legacy in Ashley, Delaware, Galena, Lewis Center, Powell, Ostrander, Radnor and Sunbury as well as other areas of the County. Since its inception, the Community Foundation has awarded more than $2.3 million to nonprofit organizations and in scholarships.
